TELSTRA TELEPHONE EXCHANGE FACADE UPGRADES

Telstra embarked on an initiative to enhance and safeguard its infrastructure, targeting several major telephone exchange buildings across Australia. Driven by the identification of aging, degraded, and non-compliant façade cladding that posed not just aesthetic but safety issues, the exchange buildings located in Redfern, Penrith, Blacktown, Launceston, Chatswood and Adelaide were redesigned for this essential upgrade.

Brewster Murray’s facade designs replaced the existing cladding with state-of-the-art, non-combustible bonded aluminium laminated panels, whilst also incorporating sleek lines and a contemporary color palette, reflecting Telstra's forward-thinking brand identity and commitment to innovation.

The successful execution of these façade replacement projects reflects Telstra's dedication to maintaining the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and design excellence across its property portfolio. It showcases the potential for architectural intervention to rejuvenate and transform essential service buildings into landmarks of modern design.
